

Mr. Kelly will be available for viewing at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home from 8 am to 5 pm on Tuesday and from 8 am to noon on Wednesday.
Howard was born January 22, 1927 in Belton, Texas to Goldie (Sims) and Howard Kelly Sr.
He married Mae Elizabeth Britton on June 18, 1947 in Belton, Texas.
He served during WWII as an M-1 rifle Sharpshooter and Antitank Gun Crewman. He received Army of Occupation Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Beth, of 63 1/2 years; two sons, Jackie P. Kelly and his wife, Chickie, Rickey H. Kelly and his wife, Belinda, all of Killeen; a daughter, Sherian Patterson and her husband, Jim, of Gatesville; a sister, Morine Golliheair and her husband, Theron, of Killeen; 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mr. Kelly worked for over thirty years repairing meters with the City of Killeen and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Killeen since 1967. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, rancher and lover of animals. Howard told stories of how he played marbles with his grandfather. He enjoyed playing dominoes and watching Cowboy's football games and drinking coffee early in the morning.
