Idella Niralee (Brewer) Hamilton was born on December 8, 1931 in Palmetto, Florida to the late George Brewer and Eloise (Rutledge) Brewer. She left this earth behind to join her heavenly Father on Friday, March 2, 2012.

Idella was known in Killeen as the owner of Della’s Lounge, which was established in the early 1960’s.

Della was married to Roy Hamilton, owner of Maurice’s Bar B Q pit of Killeen. As the owner and co-owner of multiple businesses, she was truly a great Entrepreneur. Della was also known for having a great smile and a heart of gold.

Della was also preceded in death by her sisters; Dorothy Woodson, Anna Brewer, Betty Wiggins and brothers; Forest Brewer, George Brewer Jr., Herbert Brewer and James Brewer; father-in-law, Maurice Hamilton Sr. and Mother-in-law, Lester Hamilton.

Idella is survived by her husband of 46 years, Roy Hamilton; one son, Ricky Givens; one daughter, Brenda Sims; one sister, Linda Davis; two brothers, John Brewer and Kenneth Brewer.

She will also be missed by three grandsons; Shawn Davis, Elliott White and Stephen White; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, five sister-in-laws, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

The Hamilton family will receive guests for a time of visitation on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. Home-going services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Anderson Chapel AME beginning at 10:30 AM with Rev. William M. Campbell Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the Home-going service.
