Jack F. Berry

Jack Francis Berry, 96, of Killeen passed away February 28, 2012, at Rosewood. Funeral services for Mr. Berry are scheduled for 9:30 am, Friday, March 2 at First Baptist Church of Killeen with Dr. Randy Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, with Rev. Daniel Berry officiating.

Mr. Berry was born September 17, 1915 in Houston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Berry and son, Ronald Dean Berry.

He served in the U. S. army for two years, and retired from the U. S. Postal Service in 1970. He was a long-time, active member and deacon of White Oak Baptist Church and of Baptist Temple of Houston, prior to moving to Killeen in 2002. At that time, he joined First Baptist Church of Killeen.

Survivors include his son, Bruce Berry of Killeen and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren Ronn Lewis, Robin Venvertloh, Micah Berry, Mark Berry, and Daniel Berry, as well as ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 1, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Killeen.
