There are truely no words to encompass James as a individual. He will be remembered as a kind soul, loving man, and outstanding soldier.  The loss is tremendous.  He will never be forgotten, always remembered.

I just found out about Jimmy. I had moved away several years ago. We had fallen out of touch. I was very fond of him and always will be. I am so sad that he is gone.

SFC Triplett was one of my best Instructors at the NCO Academy (Fort Sam Houston).  I just learned of James' passing.  He had a passion for taking care of Soldiers and will always be missed by those that knew him.  Thanks to you for all you have done for the Military and taking care of your own.

I miss you more and more everyday, it's still so hard to believe that you are gone. I can't stop replaying our childhood and even some of our adulthood in my mind. I thank god that I had you for the time I did and I thank him that you no longer have to suffer any kind of pain. I will forever hold your memory close to me, I love you so much big brother!!!!

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

Hello all and thank you for your kind words about James. It makes me proud knowing how many people knew him and thought of hi, highly. I had a chance to spend the last 6 six months of his life as his girlfriend. He taught me so much and loved unconditionally. I pray that we all use and apply everything he has taught us and thank God he found us all so special to allow us to have James in our lives. Be Blessed.

i worked with Jim while stationed at Ft. Carson in the 10th CSH and he was always someone that i could talk to and i remember the corvette that he drove around Carson.  He was a good friend and will be missed by all those that have known him and my prayers go out to his family and i wish you all the best in this time of sorrow

I knew SFC Triplet when he was my first-line at Fort Hood in from 97-2000.  All I can say what a guy.  Take care of others before you reward yourself is what he told me.  Great times we had in other duty stations, but, the most fun was JFNOC, 2003!!  You will always be remembered James!  Heaven has received a strong and wonderful Angel.  May he watch over those he loved and touched!

My heart is saddened at the loss of such a wonderful man. SFC Triplett was a great NCO â€“ he was stern, but took the time to listen to the younger soldiers. It's been years since I've seen him, or any other soldiers at Ft. Carson, but it seems like just yesterday that I inevitably did push-ups for something smart I said. SFC Triplett is just one of many disciplined men that shaped me into the man I am today. He will be missed, and I extend my deepest condolences to his loved ones.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of SFC James Triplett, a wonderful soldier and even more wonderful human being.  Our paths crossed for just a short time during my assignment at Ft. Carson, CO, and my deployment to Talil Ali Air Base in Iraq; but his heartfelt compassion and approachable demeanor will always be qualities that I will remember.  And to his family, remember the words of our Lord and Saviour, "My grace is sufficient for thee.  My strength is made perfect in weakness."  May God bless you during this time of trial.

My condolences to the Triplett family during this trying time. I had the pleasure of working with and deploying with James while in the 10th CSH at Ft Carson. He was absolutely one of the best Soldiers under my command as he knew and did everything. If he didn't know it you better expect that by the end of the day that he would be an expert at it. Because of this James was appointed as my personnel NCO in Iraq responsible for all administrative tasks for the task force even though he had been trained as a Nutrition care NCO. His dedication and drive has kept him at the top of my all time best NCOs and the top of the best people that have entered my life. I am proud to say that as a superior officer James was also a mentor and a friend. While in Iraq was a part of the infamous Chow crew which was a group of us that ate meals together everyday while deployed. After Iraq we kept in touch a lot even after departing our own separate ways. Although I am deeply saddened about his passing I am content in knowing that I had the privilege of serving this country with one of the best NCO, father, son, and man. You've touched many and will continue from above. You will be missed my brother. Bulldog Medics!!!!

 Jimmy was a very proud man.  He was a very proud son, father, brother, and soldier.  And I am very proud to know him as my brother-in-law.  In the dictionary, by the definition for "man" it shou;d have a picture of Jimmy, he was what a man should be. Jimmy, I will keep the promise I made to you a while back, to take care of and treat your wonderful sister good for the rest of my life.

I was truly shocked as most to hear the news and searched everywhere to find out what information I could.  SFC Triplett was my supervisor at the NCO Academy at Ft Sam Houston.  It was always charming to me to see how you never really knew if he was serious or playing until he flashed that big smile.  He was a great person who performed to the highest of his ability.  
May God Bless and watch over his family during this difficult time and trust in knowing that earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal.

SFC Triplett and I were stationed together at the AMEDD NCO Academy (NCOA), Ft. Sam Houston, TX. At the time of my arrival he was one of the Senior Small group Leaders and he became my supervisor. He was always sharp, squared away, and sincere. He loved being a NCO and taken care of Soldiers. 

Just as much as I remember him loving the Army and his Soldiers, he always expressed his love for his family. My heart goes out to his family.

This really took me by suprise as I just found out last night. Trip took me under his wing when I arrived @ the NCO Academy @ Fort Sam Houston. Everytime i meet a 68M (Nutrition Specialist) I'd always tell them the greatest 68 Mike in the Army was Trip. He will always be remembered and loved... My Battle, My Brother !!!

My deepest condolences to the Triplett family.  James was by my side, holding my hand and asking what he could do when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  He was my boss and on that day, he stopped what he was doing just to make sure that I was taken care of.  He was a wonderful spirited person...he gave of his heart so very freely to all who needed him.  Trip will be truly missed.  I pray that God provides a peace that surpasses all understanding to all that miss and Love him...God Bless you James

I'm very sorry to James' passing.  We were stationed in Alaska together and I will forever remember his dedication to duty.  He was a tremendous soldier, and I admired him both as a peer and a friend.  You will be missed "Trip".
