

Jerry passed away on November 10, 2011 In Albuquerque.
He was born to Jerry and Dorothy Herring on April 14, 1971 in Killeen. He was reared and educated in Killeen attending Harker Heights elementary, Manor Middle School and graduated from Killeen High School. He played 1st Trumpet in the KHS band. He graduated for Texas A&M with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. He accepted a position of J.P.O. and Parole Officer 1&2 for Cibola County, Grants, New Mexico. He believed in Preventative Programs and was a Children Youth & Families Department Management Analyst IV for the state of New Mexico. He spent his entire life working with and helping high risk children. Jerry loved to travel and had traveled in Europe on two occasions. He loved the Cathedrals and the arts of Europe. He enjoyed hiking and camping with family, friends and his late devoted Doberman in the mountains of New Mexico. He was an avid fan of Texas A&M and the Cowboys.
He is survived by his parents of Nolanville, and loving sisters Melissa Collins and husband John of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Tammy Rogers and husband Tim and daughter Kylie Marie of Largo, Florida, his grandmother Lillian Herring of Temple.
