Funeral services for John J. Irwin III, 59, of Macon, Ga., will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Mr. Irwin died May 15, 2010, in a Macon, Ga., hospital.
He was born July 13, 1950, at Fort Hood to Mr. and Mrs. John J. II and Hildegard G. Irwin. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He retired from the Fort Hood Fire Department in 1989 and had resided in Macon, Ga., since 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Brenda; and daughters, Katherine and Shannon of Macon, Ga.
