

He was born Sept. 5, 1933, in Georgetown, Texas. After living and attending the Georgetown schools, he entered the U.S. Navy. After serving three years in the Navy aboard the USS Hancock, he returned to Georgetown and went to work for Lone Star Gas Co. He also worked for Killeen Butane Gas Co. and Tecom Inc. at Fort Hood. He loved fishing and sports. We could also count on him for a good joke and telling entertaining stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Bernice Perry, of Georgetown, and one sister, Shirley Sullins, of Liberty Hill.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Eva Mitchell Perry of Killeen; two daughters, Susan Tilman and her husband, Steve Tilman of Amber, Okla., and Carol Chapman and her husband, Richard Chapman, of Harker Heights; granddaughter, Lisa Emmons of Harker Heights; brothers, Jack Perry of Bastrop and Jerry Perry of Georgetown; and a sister, Faye Handy of Georgetown. He is also leaving many nephews, nieces, and friends who will greatly miss him.
