Joe, known to friends and family as a jokester with a heart of gold, was the beloved son of the late Joseph C. Alsop Sr. and Virginia B. Alsop. He is survived by his loving mother, Virginia, and his siblings, Gina M. Waterfield and Gary M. Alsop Sr. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. Alsop Sr., and his son, Matthew Charles Alsop.
Joe was a devoted father to his four children: Lisa Alsop, April Alsop, Melissa Feldman (married to Joshua Feldman), and Joey Alsop. He cherished his grandchildren: Maddison Robinson, Easton Millsap, Greyson Millsap, Prometheus Romanoski, Adeline Feldman, and Brooklyn Feldman, who were the light of his life.
In May 1991, Joe opened his sole proprietorship, Alsop Plumbing, which he successfully incorporated in October 1995. His dedication and hard work in his business reflected his commitment to providing for his family and serving his community.
An avid enthusiast of motocross and dirt bikes, both vintage and modern, Joe also had a passion for guns, hunting, and fishing. He found great joy in restoring old cars, particularly his prized 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. His interests and hobbies brought him many happy moments and cherished memories.
Joe's life was filled with love and laughter, and he made friends wherever he went. He tried to enjoy life to the fullest until the very end, always surrounded by his loving family and friends. His legacy of kindness, humor, and love for his family will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 10th at the Killeen Civic and Conference center at 2:00 p.m., A Celebration of Joe’s Life to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you support your local businesses, honoring Joe’s dedication to his business.
He is loved and will be deeply missed.
