Juliet M. Noel

During her early life, Juliet attended Walker-Grant High School and graduated from that institution in 1949. Juliet met and married Issac Noel and had a son named Terry. After being stationed in Texas due to her husband's Military services, Juliet and her family became members of Pershing Park Baptist Church in 1968. She taught Sunday School at the church and her husband was a Deacon. Juliet attended the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory in Austin. She also completed courses at Central Texas College in order to become CDA Certified. Juliet began working as a daycare worker at Fort Hood Post Nursery in 1970. After leaving that job in 1982 she worked as a teacher for the Memorial Baptist Christians School in Killeen, TX until 1984.

During her life Juliet was active in the NAACP and loved to educate people about history. She was a faithful Sunday School teacher at Pershing Park until the early 2000's. In her free time Juliet loved gardening, cooking, walking, children and caring for children, reading, sewing, and canning. Friends and family remember her as friendly, loving, and caring.

Preceding Juliet in death are her parents, Andrew and Kathryn Lucas; her siblings, Peter Lucas, Andrew (Mike) Lucas Jr., Newton Lucas, Virginia Williamson, Augustus Lucas, Catherine Lucas, Jenny Lucas Taylor, Elwood Lucas; husband, Issac Noel; and son, Terry Noel.

Left behind to cherish her memories is daughter-in-law, Shelia Noel; grandchildren, Raquel Evans (Terry) and Michael Noel; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM , Saturday, September, 7, 2024 at Pershing Park Baptist Church in Killeen.
