Kingsley Stephen Sanders (Steve) passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX. Steve was born May 13, 1955 to the late Thomas and Shirley Sanders in Lindsay Ca. He enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1973 and served 4yrs. He married his best friend, Janet Stumpf, on May 3, 2014 in Copperas Cove, TX.
Steve had a passion for gardening, yardwork and training his dogs, Sadie and Lily.
Surviving Steve is his loving wife Janet Stumpf Sanders, his daughters Destinee (Sergio) Saldana of Hobbs, NM & Brittany Sanders of Killeen, TX; his sister Twyla Sanders, and many nieces, nephews, family & friends. He is also survived by his stepdaughters Jessie Hague, Heather Papson, and Christina (Zack) Rahrig, and his grandchildren – Naya, Jayce, Fay and Shawnah Sanders. Clayton & Aiden Hague, and Xander Papson. Steve was preceded in death by his son Steven Roy Sanders, his parents, Thomas and Shirley Sanders, his brother John Sanders. We also want to thank our wonderful nursing staff and physicians at Scott & White MICU and Palliative team for caring for Steve.
