Larry Wayne Carson was born on February 24, 1949, to Gordon and Ruth Bell Carson. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1968. Larry retired as the Chief Building Inspector for the City of Killeen in 2012 after 20 years of dedicated service.
Larry was a good man, a loving father, and a true friend. He was always there whenever anyone needed him and cared deeply about the little things in life. Larry was not only a wise man but also a witty one.
Larry entered Heaven on February 5, 2026.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Ruth Carson, and brother, Gordon Carson Jr.
Larry is survived by his two sons, David Chance Carson and wife Luz of Newport News, Virginia, and James Michael Carson of Killeen, Texas. He is also survived by his nephew, Lenuel Monte Priest (Nicole) of Killeen; his niece, Lacey Priest-Magness (John) of Ozona, Texas; great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and many dear friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Killeen Memorial Park Cemetery, 3516 Lake Road, Killeen, Texas 76543.
