Services for Leland Goin will be 11am Thursday December 31, 2015 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors.
On December 25, 2015 Leland Goin passed away after a sudden illness, with his family by his side.
Leland was born June 8, 1940 in Macon, Illinois to Rolla and Ruth Goin. He spent his childhood working on the family farm. Eventually he joined the United States Army, for 23 years, and served three tours in Vietnam and Korea. He enjoyed traveling to many different countries and states until he retired in 1979 from Fort Hood.
He enjoyed different business ventures and eventually opened Kempner Small Engines, until he retired from it in 2014 and passed it on to his family.
He loved to go camping, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson.
He is survived by his wife Vera Goin of Kempner, TX, his children, grandchildren, a great grandson, and nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
The family will receive visitors from 9:30-10:30 Thursday December 31, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
