

Malisa married John Michael Phillips on December 27, 2005 in Bakersfield, California.
Malisa was working towards finishing her High School diploma as well as a career pathway towards becoming a Veterinary Technician. She had been working as cat and dog foster for almost six years; taking the title of Central Texas Kitten Lady.
Malisa was a proud member of Multiple Central Texas foster groups and had a passion for both Art, Music and caring for young kittens who had been brought to her when the mother either had passed or could not be found. Malisa will always be remembered for her unselfish drive to take care of her babies that were brought to her, never giving up until they either no longer needed her help or they passed on.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Candace Widman and her grandmother, Shirlee Widman.
Malisa is survived by her spouse, John, her children, Michael, Braidyn and Aubrielle and her three siblings, Justin Widman, Vanessa Huffman and Jarrett Huffman, as well as nieces and nephews, Joie Phillips, Jordyn Phillips, KateLynn Phillips, Kaci and Kori Huffman.
In lieu of flowers, the Phillips family asks you make a memorial donation in Malisa's name to any cat rescue or sanctuary here in the Central Texas area.
Visitation for Malisa will be Monday, April 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, TX 76542. Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542.
