

Visitation and Rosary will be held on Sunday, July 20th, 2025 at Crawford and Bowers funeral home from 6-8 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. A celebration of the funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 21st, 2025, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, Texas.
Margie was born June 25, 1940 in Burnet County, Texas to Ignacio and Cleotilde (Alvarado) Maceyra. Margie worked for Killeen ISD from the time Thomas started school until her retirement in 2000. In her free time, she enjoyed "riding around with Lupe", vacationing and numerous trips with her sisters and brothers in law, and attending the various sports activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a special love for hosting holidays and birthdays and cooking meals, especially carne guisada, her famous Mexican rice, and homemade tortillas.
Margie was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen and was a long-time volunteer and supported the Adoration Chapel for numerous years. Margie had a devotion to Saint Martin De Porres, a daily rosary, and frequent trips to the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle.
Margie is survived by her son Thomas (and wife Jeannie) Arellano, six grandchildren, Rhiana Arellano, Dorian (and wife Sarah) Arellano, Madeline Arellano, Tristan Arellano, Laney Arellano, and Quinn Arellano, and six great-grandchildren Cayden, Rylan, Julian, Ellison, Kateri, and Sebastian.
Margie also leaves behind her sisters Felipa (and husband Jesse) Lopez and Angie (and husband Abel) Gamez and numerous nephews and nieces.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents Ignacio and Cleotilde, her devoted husband Lupe Arellano, her brother Paulino Maceyra, and two grandchildren Gabriel and Francis Arellano
