Mary is survived by her son, Rodney R. Sparks of Killeen and his two sons, Sky and Reign, her daughter Shelley Juanita Rodgers of Houston and her three children, Trenton, Toryn and Tara. She also has four great-grandsons.
Mary moved to Killeen in 1974 with her husband who was in the U.S. Army. She worked at the PX on Fort Hood and in various school cafeterias and opened a restaurant/bakery named “Sparky’s” in Harker Heights.
In 1983 she moved to Granbury, Tx and worked as a bakery manager at Kroger’s Grocery for 5 years. She moved back to Harker Heights, Tx after the death of her husband in 1992 to be near her son and her first two grandsons.
She loved all her family and friends and would help anyone with anything at any time. The other things she was absolutely passionate about was her bowling, all the good times she had with her bowling buddies and her trips to Las Vegas to bowl in the tournaments (and of course those slot machines).
