

She grew up in Salado and graduated from Salado High School in 1948. Pat Graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Economics in May 1952. She worked at First National
Bank in Killeen where she met her future husband, Major Elliott Blair. They married on July 10, 1954 and lived in Mobile, Alabama where she began teaching school before returning to Killeen in 1960.
Pat was a teacher in Killeen ISD for 10 years and then took a hiatus to raise her three children. Upon returning to teaching, she furthered her education at Mary Hardin Baylor and Tarleton State University in order to be the best teacher she could be. She taught at Killeen ISD elementary and junior high schools for 15 years before retiring in 1996. Pat loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved playing Bridge, Texas 42, and wore the spots off of three sets of dominos! She was a great cook and her recipe cards can be found in kitchens all over Central and North Texas. She was a member
of the Daughters of the American Revolution and loved her Methodist Church fellowship until her health limited her activities.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Major, son Randy Scott Blair, and two brothers, Ballard Guest, Jr. and Michael Guest.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Major and Lori Blair of Amarillo, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Wayne Bacon of Killeen, daughter-in-law Nancy Blair of Laredo, Texas, her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
