Thinking of this strong courageous man.  My heartfelt sympathy on his one year celebration in our celestial home. 

I might not have had the best relationship with him, but I honestly can say I am proud to be his daughter.  My fondest memory of my father is from 11 months ago,  the best day of my life, when he reached out to me and called me to tell me he loves and to make sure I was all right as I'm being transported to the delivery room to give birth to his first grandson , who I happily named after him and my uncle.  I will always miss him and do my best to honor him. 

Ralph and I have been friends since we were 18. I have to say, in the beginning not so much! I always use to call him “1950’s kind of a guy”. We had some very different opinions on some things!

Ralph lived with my ex and I for several months when he first moved to Texas. We had all been friends for several years. That is really when I realized that Ralph could act like a butt. Yet, really underneath there lived a heart of gold. He would do anything for people he truly loved and cared about.

I remember when he told me he was joining the Army! I was like, what! Since most people join a lot younger in life. I was really glad he did. Really one of my favorite memories was when he flew back to Texas from Afghanistan. I remember seeing him walk through the airport in his fatigues. I was so glad to see my friend. So, proud of him for serving our country.

I know that I will see Ralph again one day.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Ralph, I still remember meeting you at Beitz like it was yesterday.  You were a friend to me and a lot of the guys there. You always reached out and were friendly and approachable to everyone you met. You will be missed brother

Since our family met you, Andrew, we fell in love with you.  We welcomed you into the family.  It was heartbreaking to hear you say  you were not close to any of your family members.  You were instantly a part of our family and we are many.  I remember your stories of Mary, Jerry, Mary Jo, her family and Cody.  I know you loved them and they loved you.  Enjoyed the pictures and stories of you with them.  Seeing how happy and in love you are with Angela, we knew you were the one for her.  You were a wonderful father to Colt.  Taught him so much and he misses you dearly.  You were always very kind, funny and always welcoming.  Visiting my sister will be difficult without you there.  The cook outs, holidays and the no reason visits will be so different now.  You are a good man and no one can take that away.  Rest in peace now and know that we will help Angela through this difficult time.  She loved you so much.  On behalf of the Rico Family rest easy Andrew and we will always love and miss you.

You’ve always been there for me dad guiding me and pushing me to achieve my dreams and be better than you were, but the truth is there’s no one better than you dad I idolized you. You were my super hero dad if anything happened or went wrong dad would swoop in and save the day. There’s so much left that I want you to see so many memories yet to come, it’s gonna be hard dad harder than anything I’ve ever done but I’ll make it through I promise. I love you dad

As Ralph's twin brother, I have some of the greatest memories with him that we shared together. As kids we were best friends and were always together. After we grew up, we went our separate ways but talked on the phone a lot telling each other what was going on in our lives. Ralph moved to Texas and I joined the Army. I remember the day his daughter Kiana was born and came home from the hospital he was so proud of her.  Four years later my son CJ was born and the first person at the hospital to see him was Ralph. In 1995 after spending six months deployed to Guantanamo instead of going home to Alaska to see my family, I flew to Houston to be with Ralph and be his best man at his wedding and meet his beautiful wife Denise. Just a few years later I flew back to Houston from Tennessee to meet my new nephew Cody. Ralph was so proud that he now had a son.  Ralph loved to cook; in high school he made some amazing cakes. I remember this one that was a bear it looked like a real teddy bear and was 3D and standing up. My family and I visited Ralph in Houston one summer. Ralph through a huge BBQ and cooked for all his family and neighbors, it was amazing. Ralph also loved to hunt and we had some great time's hog hunting he would get so excited when we killed something like a little kid in a candy storeRalph and I helped each other through our divorces I flew in for his surgery to support him when they removed his prostate and It broke my heart sitting with him in San Antonio when he was having treatment. After Ralphs first surgery we took our son's (CJ and Cody) fishing and kayaking on Canyon Lake. Sunday night when Ralph's son Cody called me to inform me that my twin brother had passed, I cried. This past week I have reflected on my relationship with Ralph over the past 53 years.  We have had our ups and downs like any other siblings, and we didn’t always see eye to eye, but now that he is gone. There is a void in my life and a hole in my heart. I miss you Ralph and will alw

   
Ralph Baker loved to fish and swim. I have many fond memories of when we were growing up of going swimming and fishing in the river with my father and my brothers Ralph and Joe. I looked up to Ralph as a protector of his younger siblings. He was always looking out for us. I love you Ralph. You'll be dearly missed but I will carry my wonderful memories of you with me in my heart and mind always. 

        We lived in st. Lawrence county
  The house stood on  Street facing the curbside and the back was a hundred yards to the saint Lawrence River.. Ralph Baker love to fish and swim.. it was a simple life we lived.. I vividly remember are two older brothers Ralph and Joe making a raft to travel down the rapids in Chase Mills New York.. besides my father my brother Ralph and Joe wood go swimming in the lake or fishing we would go with them I looked up to Ralph and a protector of his siblings.. I love you Ralf you'll be missed but I will carry you with me in my mind and heart..  

There is so many wonderful memories , so I will give you one that’s was important and special in my heart .It was about 4 years ago My husband and I , plus my Daughter and her 2 children went to his place in a Texas for Thanksgiving , We had so much fun ,we all went out to eat , looked around Texas ..The most important ting was spending the time with him and his family , and to spend it on Thanksgiving ..I thank God each day for making it possible ..Love you , and definitely miss you !

I remember  teaching him to drive standard shift just before he left for Texas. an fishing together. his wonderful  smile. RIP my friend.
