Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Earl Deal, Sr, of Killeen, will be held on Monday June 19th at 12:30pm at the Crawford-Bower Funeral Home. Burial service with full military honors will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Bob passed away at Cornerstone Hospital, in Round Rock on Monday June 12, 2017, at the age of 65. He grew up in Sidney, Nebraska and joined the Army in 1977. He proudly served his country during Desert Storm and earned the Bronze Star Medal, he later retired as a Sergeant First Class after 22 years of service. He returned to work as an instructor for the military. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family, friends and his dog, Buddy. He is survived by his wife, Jung Deal, three sons, Robert Deal Jr., William “Billy” Deal and wife Erin, and David Deal, two grandsons, Austan Deal, and Dylan Deal, two brothers, William “Bill” Deal and wife Donna, Lloyd “Butch” Deal and wife Sandra, and sister, Betty Pettit. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Louise Deal, and brother James “Jim” Deal.
