

Sandra Lynette entered into earthly life on October 31, 1953. She was the third of nine children born to Godly parents (Rev.) Leon and Barbara Davis, in Houston, Texas. Influenced by a Christian home life, she accepted Christ and was baptized under the pastorate of Rev. O. C. Johnson, Sr., Lyons Unity Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, Texas, She participated in Sunday School, BYPU, Junior and Youth Choirs, Junior Ushers, and the YWA (Young Women's Auxiliary).
Sandra was educated in the Galena Park Independent School District. After graduating in 1972, she attended Texas Southern University, Houston, to study music (voice emphasis). Years later, she received her teaching credentials from Western Governors University.
From Houston, Sandra moved to Memphis, Tennessee and there she married Louis Jeffries, and to this Union were born three sons, Ali Hasan Jeffries, Kerahn Jeffies and Rashan Jeffries; and one daughter, Kendra Tai'Isha Jeffries. Louis, a career serviceman, later moved the family to Fort Hood military base in Killeen, Texas.
Sandra worked as a teacher's aide at Bellaire Elementary for many years. At the time of her death, she was teaching Pre-K at Fowler Elementary. She was dedicated, loved teaching, believed children can learn, gave students her very best, liked to see her students achieve. Four words she used to describe herself, caring, capable, committed and conscientious.
Preceded to glory by mother, Barbara L. Davis (2009), father, Leon Davis (2011), and brother, Reginald Lawrence Davis (2013), on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas, Sandra entered into heavenly life on August 15, 2017.
