

Sandra Kay (Daude) Rawlings of Belton, Texas, passed away peacefully at home early on Wednesday morning, May 8, 2019, after a long illness. Sandy was born on March 3, 1953 in Belton, Texas, completing a family of 4.
She is the daughter of Melvin (deceased) and Margaret Mollenkopf Daude. She was raised and attended school in Killeen, Texas. She attended Ave D Elementary School, both Fairway and Nolan Jr High Schools, before attending Killeen High School. After graduating from Killeen High School, she married and moved to Northern Illinois, where her two children were born. She returned home to Texas after 13 years, and worked for Killeen ISD for 30 years, in various positions, completing her career in the Payroll Office.
Sandy is survived by her mother Margaret Daude of Killeen, her son Bryan Grzonka, Tami and daughter Gabrielle of McKinney, Texas, and daughter Julie (Grzonka) Tobias, husband Joe, and sons Blake, Chase and Grant Tobias, of Pflugerville, Texas. Sandy is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Sawyer of Morgan's Point Resort, and numerous family and friends who share in the loss.
Sandy retired from her career in Killeen ISD Business Office in December 2014, and busied herself with many crafts and hobbies. She was an amazing cook, a gardener, and had developed a great talent as a jewelry beader. Her friends and family will surely miss her, and her many talents!
As a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, many significant events of her life are recorded at Immanuel. Her Baptism was celebrated at First Lutheran Church in Floresville, Texas, with Rev. C. L. Mollenkopf (Maternal grandfather - deceased) officiating. Her sponsors were Robert Daude (deceased) and Katherine Mollenkopf (deceased) Confirmation was celebrated on April 7, 1968 at Immanuel. Sandy married William John Grzonka (deceased) on October 2, 1971 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Killeen.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 12:00 noon. A private internment will follow at Immanuel's cemetery, followed by a Luncheon back at the church for family and friends. Please join us in person, or in prayer at that time! Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, St Jude's Children's Hospital, or the charity of your choice.
