She passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the age of 60. She was born on December 30, 1960 in Munich, Germany to Anna (Leberfing) Booker. She was later adopted by James Booker after marrying Anna and then later moved as a family to the United States. Sharon passed unexpectedly from an anoxic brain injury following a severe asthma attack.
Sharon graduated from Ellison High School in 1979 and made Killeen her home for nearly 50 years. She held various positions in teaching, insurance, and property management during her lifetime. She was also a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Sharon will be fondly remembered for her kindness, warmth, and cheerful disposition. She was a friend to many, a strong support to those in need, and a beautiful spirit. Sharon’s departure was marked with both profound sadness and joy as she was able to give multiple gifts of life through Gift of Hope.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 34 years, Thomas; a daughter, Antoinett (William) Hart; one grandchild, Julianna; her sister, Dorisa (Michael) Weaver; and her brother Joseph Leberfing. Sharon also leaves behind one mother-in-law, three sisters-in-laws, multiple cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
