He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jannie McKinney, who passed on June 3, 2011.
He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Colonel (retired, USAF) Kenneth (Jacqueline) Earl McKinney of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter, Deborah Denise McKinney of Killeen, Texas; five grandchildren, Kyle Earl McKinney, Tascie Jenee’ McKinney, Brittany Denise Poindexter, Jarrett Langston McKinney, and Jewel Lia McKinney; two sisters, Mary McKinney of Missouri City, Texas and Betty Sullivan of McIntosh Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wake service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Crawford-Bower Funeral Home, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Going home Celebration will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood Rd. Killeen, TX 76542. The burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
