Wayne Moore, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2025.
Wayne is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Virginia Moore, and his son Travis Moore. He was also a devoted grandfather to Hadlyn and Dash, who he lovingly called his greatest gifts.
For more than three decades, Wayne served as a teacher and coach, dedicating over 30 years to education and more than 20 to coaching. His life’s purpose was helping others — inspiring
students and athletes alike to believe in themselves and live with integrity.
Wayne was a man of many joys — he loved fishing, football, video games, and, above all, spending time with his family.
He shared a special bond with his brother-in-law Paul, whom he
considered his true brother and best friend.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and his unwavering love for family and friends.
Wayne also cherished his daughter-in-law Martha, sisters-in-law Patti and Barbara, and niece Emily.
Though a simple man by nature, Wayne made a profound impact on the lives of many. His legacy lives on in the countless hearts he touched. He is now home with the Lord in Heaven.
A visitation for Wayne will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, TX 765421654.
