

Terry graduated from Dale County High School in 1953 and proudly served his country with great distinction. He began his military service with the Alabama National Guard, 131st Tank Battalion, before entering the United States Army. During his Army career, Terry completed two tours of duty in Vietnam, where he was wounded during his first tour. After many years of honorable service, he retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Major. In recognition of his bravery and service, he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross, a testament to his leadership, courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to those he served alongside.
In August of 1956, Terry married the love of his life, Jane Snellgrove, and together they shared a devoted marriage spanning nearly seven decades. They raised three children and built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Terry was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Glover; his daughter, Gwen Green (Dan); his sons, Greg Glover (Wanda) and Grant Glover (Cindy); and his treasured grandchildren, Ian, Tiffany, and Valerie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tee and Luella Glover; his sister, Merle Carter; and his brother, Van Glover.
Terry will be remembered for his steadfast integrity, deep love for his family, and his unwavering service to his country. His legacy of honor and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Nolanville First United Methodist Church, located at 300 W. Avenue I, Nolanville, Texas. The service, with full military honors, is scheduled for January 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
