Brian Richard Hoffman of Kingwood, Texas, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at the age of 32. Brian was born on January 17, 1985, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Humble High School in 2003 and attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston. Brian worked as a Project Manager with Leedo Cabinetry.
He married his best friend Alison Himpele on March 21, 2015, and was a devoted husband and proud new father to their son Carter, who brought him so much joy. Brian grew up playing sports of all kinds, but his passion was soccer, which he played competitively through high school. He loved sports and history throughout his life, and he especially enjoyed reading any history book he could find and cheering on the Texas Longhorns. Brian is remembered for his contagious smile and the laughter and joy he brought to everyone he met. He was a loyal and caring friend, brother, uncle, and son.
Brian is survived by his wife Alison Himpele Hoffman and son Carter William; his parents, Richard and Dottie Hoffman; his sister, Karen Morris and husband Austen; his brother Michael Hoffman; his sister Susan Blanchard and husband D.J.; his grandmother, Grace Hoffman; his grandfather, R.B. Davidson; his nieces Katherine and Anna Morris and Zoe Blanchard, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by an extended family of in-laws who welcomed him into their family with love, including his mother-in-law Janice Himpele; his brother-in-law Matt Himpele and wife Jessie; his sister-in-law Jennifer Turner and husband Charlie; and his niece Reese Turner. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Edna Davidson; his grandfather, Charles Hoffman; and his father-in-law, William Himpele.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, at First United Methodist Church in Humble. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8, at First United Methodist Church in Humble.
