Daniel M Cardenas

29 marzo , 19463 julio , 2021

On Saturday, July 3, 2021 Daniel Cardenas loving companion and father of four children passed away at home at age 75.

Daniel was born on March 29, 1946 to Indalecio and Consuelo (Connie) Cardenas of San Antonio, Texas. A graduate from Thomas Edison High School, class of 1964. At age 18 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country aboard the USS Arlington during the Vietnam era. In 1976, he relocated to Houston, Texas where he worked in the auto industry for 20 years before making a 2nd career move to Klein ISD where he would spend nearly another 20 years before his retirement.

His time spent in Pathways personal development led him to reaffirming his faith, which ultimately led him to the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) where he was most proud to be a mentor and spread the Lord’s word to fellow veterans.

Daniel was an avid pool player, motorcycle lover, and outdoorsman. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley and working with his hands. After retiring he spent many hours in his wood shop, known as the Wooden Cross, designing and creating his memorable crosses, jewelry and most recently custom knives.

Daniel never met a stranger and was always happy to lend a helping hand. His bright smile and bear hugs will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Indalecio, mother, Consuelo, brothers, Raul Mancillas, and Dave Cardenas. He is survived by his loving companion of 6 years, Sherry Dismukes of Humble, TX; son, Daniel M Cardenas Jr. and wife Elizabeth of San Antonio, TX; son, Carlos Cardenas and wife Paula of Livonia, MI; daughter, Andrea Tellepsen and husband Trent of Houston, TX; son, Vincent Cardenas of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Megan Goshen, Parish Cardenas, Noah Cardenas, Marissa Flores, Annabel Flores, Lydia Cardenas, Louis Cardenas, Andrew Tellepsen, Talan Tellepsen, Hudsen Tellepsen, Isabelle Cardenas and Molly Cardenas.
