She was preceded in death by her husband, R. V. Kelley; by her parents, Ruby and Lenzie Cates of Manitou, KY; by her son, Bill Kelley of Big Sandy, TX; and by her brother, Harold Cates of Manitou, KY.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Doug Park of Kingwood, TX; by her granddaughter’s family, Kimberly and Damon Stelly of Kingwood, TX; by her daughter-in-law, Laura Kelley of Big Sandy, TX; by her grandsons, Kristofer and Kyle Kelley of Big Sandy, TX; and by her granddaughter, Jennifer Betty. She has two great-grandchildren, Kyson Kelley of Big Sandy, TX and Madison Kelley of Terrell, TX.
She lived a quiet life of service to others. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, telling humorous stories of herself and writing poetry of her life experiences.
Visitation will be at the Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville, Kentucky on Friday, June 15, 2012, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
