Gary Schiefelbein

Gary Ray Schiefelbein, 70, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. He was a beloved husband to Bonnie, father to Andy and Matt, son to Ed and Ruth, and brother to Bruce, Cheryl and Brian. Gary was also a dear and trusted friend, a man who loved to serve his community, and a valued member of the Holy Comforter Lutheran Church.

Born on September 2, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gary was raised with values of faith, family, and a tireless work ethic. He would proudly serve his country in the United States Army, earning the rank of Major. Throughout his life, his passion for singing filled him with joy, as did his love of the great outdoors and long afternoons spent boating and fishing. He had a knack for fixing things large and small and a boundless curiosity for information technology. And through all the turns of life, he found comfort and inspiration in Christian education.

Gary is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Ziemke); sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Melissa (Fornander) and Matthew and Heather (Schmidt); grandchildren, Madison and Jackson, all of Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Ruth (Braun) and grandson, Neal Edward.
