

Jean is survived by her husband Dan Copps and brother Michael Burke and many friends. Proceeding her in death were her mother and father, Juanita and Gene Burke
Jean grew up in Joplin, Mo and graduated from Parkwood High School. Born on December 28, 1954 she was a Christmas baby.
Jean left Joplin and moved to Dallas and then Kingwood (Houston) Texas. That’s where she met and married Dan Copps, in 1985. Jeans and Dan’s hobbies were camping, hiking, the beach and anything outdoors.
Wurstfest in New Braunfels was a must every year. She and Dan have many friends from the trips they have taken for more than 25 years in a row.
She wrote articles for Waves Magazine in Galveston including recipes and relationship advice.
Jean will be greatly missed for her friendliness, sharp wit, and free spirit.
Her special attraction to all animals was unique. Her lover for her dogs Pawdra & Yullie will not be replaced.
A celebration of life will be in Joplin, Mo. Date still to be determined.
