Jeffrey "Jeff" Lyn Wilson passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 55. Born in Houston, Texas, on September 21, 1969, Jeff was a devoted and beloved man whose life was marked by adventure, kindness, and devotion to family and faith. He resided in Kingwood, Texas.
Jeff graduated from Friendswood High School in 1987 and pursued higher education at Sam Houston State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Degree in 1997. As a lifelong learner, he also completed several classes towards a Master's in Education from Sam Houston State University.
His career began as an iron worker, which transitioned beautifully into a position that combined his technical skills and passion for teaching. Jeff served over thirty years as an auto collision teacher for the Humble Independent School District. He was nominated for teacher of the year numerous times. He earned tremendous respect and admiration from a wide community of students, faculty, administration, and parents.
On June 20, 2009, Jeff married Amber Irene Ledford Wilson at Northpark Christian Church. Their marriage was one of profound love and shared joy. Together, they cherished family life, particularly with their beloved son, Shiloh Jeffrey Wilson. Jeff was a devoted husband and father who worked tirelessly to create lasting memories with his cherished family.
Explorer of the outdoors, Jeff found joy in hunting, fishing, and rodeo; embracing the legacy of being a 2nd-generation cowboy. A lover of good whiskeys, he shared this passion through his Facebook group "Kingwood Fellowship of Bourbon.” Jeff thrived on community involvement, frequently supporting local rodeos and maintaining former membership with the Harley Owners Group “HOG.”
Throughout his life, Jeff was characterized by his thoughtfulness, generosity, and a fierce loyalty to those he cared for. Holding family and friends close, he naturally cultivated a supportive environment. His passion for nurturing relationships extended into his teaching career where he impacted lives with dedication and care, reaching far beyond normal expectations.
As we honor his memory, the family expresses deep gratitude for the exceptional support from the Humble ISD community and the surrounding areas of Kingwood, Humble, and Houston during this challenging time.
In keeping with Jeff's faith and beliefs, he would often say, "I know where I am going." Those who mourn him can take comfort in knowing that Jeff, alongside his beloved Amber and Shiloh resting in the peace of Christ. His favorite saying was "The Lord is my Shepherd".
Amber Irene Ledford Wilson
Amber Irene (Ledford) Wilson, a cherished and devoted mother and wife, passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 45. Born on June 7, 1980, in San Antonio, Texas, Amber was a compassionate and generous soul, known for her gentle and hard-working nature. She was an inspirational, kind-hearted, and loyal person, whose resilience and selflessness touched the lives of many. A thoughtful and adoring mother, Amber was deeply family-focused, loved God, and her son immensely. Everything she did was about her family.
Amber was a beloved daughter, born as a special gift on her father's 29th birthday. She graduated from Spring High School in 1998. She shared a special bond with her older brother Dustin, whom she called "Bub", and also her nieces: Emma (who looked up to Amber like an older sister) and Harley (who Amber supported and was very proud of for chasing and accomplishing her dreams).
Her career began at Insperity, where she started as an intern at the age of 16. Amber became a full-time employee in 1998 and dedicated 27 years to the company. She held numerous positions, with her most treasured roles being in new client sales and corporate events.
Amber met her adored husband, Jeffery "Jeff" Lyn Wilson, 17 years ago and married him 16 years ago. She was beyond thrilled with the birth of her son, Shiloh Jeffery Wilson, and placed her entire focus on raising him. She was the perfect baseball, rodeo, and everything else mom, ensuring Shiloh was raised to be a fine, respectful, generous young man. She always signed off on email, texts and facebook, #Wilson3. Amber was proud of her brother Dustin for being a first responder and loved her sister-in-law Rebecca as her own. She cherished her father, John and his wife Jean, and deeply missed her mother, Deborah, who passed away on November 11, 2015.
Amber's personal interests included hunting, fishing, being on the beach or lake, and rodeo activities. She loved reality TV, western decorating, and was an avid Amazon shopper. Her main hobby was supporting Shiloh in rodeo and bronc riding.
Amber was actively involved in the community, volunteering for years at the Humble Rodeo and other rodeos. She was always there for everyone, never forgetting a birthday or event, and was known for her generosity.
A woman of strong faith, Amber was a member of the Cowboy Church and taught Shiloh to be respectful, nurturing him into the fine young man he became. Her strength, love, devotion, and giving nature left a lasting legacy.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the work family of Insperity for their heartfelt support. They also thank the local communities of Kingwood, Humble, and Houston for their outstanding support as they lined the highways to welcome Amber's baby boy, Shiloh, home from Kerrville. This gesture would have been so meaningful to her as she was Shiloh's biggest supporter.
Proverbs 31 describes a Godly woman, wife, and mother, and surely Amber was all of these.
Shiloh Jeffrey Wilson
Shiloh Jeffrey Wilson, a devoted, adventurous, and kind-hearted young man, passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 12 years old.
Shiloh was born on October 25, 2012, in Houston, Texas, Shiloh was a resident of Kingwood, Texas. He was a current student at Creekwood Middle School and was known for his bravery, resilience, and humor. Shiloh's smile could light up any room.
Shiloh's dedication and passion were evident in his involvement with 4H, where he recently won ribbons for photography and several creative food items.
He served as the K Park Bat Boy for Kingwood High School and was adored by the team. He also loved to play baseball and was excellent in every position the coaches put him in, and every team he was on went on to win championships.
His legacy in rodeo was impressive, being a third-generation cowboy, following in the footsteps of his father and his grandfather, a member of the cowboy hall of fame. Shiloh was a six-time Texas Regional Qualifier, a three-time Texas Regional Reserve Champion, a three-time Texas Regional Champion, a five-time World Finals Qualifier, a TJHRA Region 9 State Finalist in 2025, and the 2024 Rookie Junior World Champion Rough Stock Saddle Bronc Champion.
Shiloh loved and adored his grandparents, Carolyn & Stan Wilson and John & Jean Ledford. He loved all of his extended family, and all of his friends.
A verse that was important to Shiloh was Matthew 19:26 "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
