Joseph wore many hats during his life. He served his country in the Army and National Guard, and was a Vietnam Veteran. He graduated from Denver University, which led to his 32 year career at Shell Corporation. He proudly volunteered for the Searbrook Fire Department and was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 8. He was also a member of Kingwood United Methodist Church.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents and brother, James Joseph Kotanchik. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sue, and their son, Joseph Andrew.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home, followed by burial at Houston National Cemetery.
