

Linda Kay Shane of Porter, TX peacefully passed away on June 29, 2023. Linda was born to W. Jay and Elanor (Pusey) Esco in Wichita, KS on April 19, 1942 who both preceded her in death. She had a younger brother Brent Esco of Norman, OK who also preceded her in death. Linda married Thomas W. Shane, D. Div. on March 6, 1965 in Wichita, KS. She is survived by her husband Tom Shane, best friend and confidant of 58 years, and four children, Kim Shane of Porter, TX, Mark Shane of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Shane of Porter, TX and Sara Graham of Kingwood, TX. Linda also is survived by her 5 grandchildren Kierstin Graham, Lee Estrada, Brenden McBeth, Ian Graham and Gavin Graham.
Linda was a quiet and articulate person who cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, and husband. She was a champion of gift-giving and she always chose the best presents! She was a compassionate physical therapist for a number of years at Newton Medical Center in Newton, KS. Linda was a vociferous reader and loved all types of novels and even had a passion for writing short stories and poems. She enjoyed traveling and loved supporting her children and grandchildren in all of their many sporting events. She was an avid University of Kansas basketball fan and you could hear her passionately watching the games and calling the names of all the players on the court.

A memorial service will be held at Kingwood Christian Church in Kingwood, TX, a suburb of Houston, TX on Monday July 10th at 10:30 a.m. with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
