Loyce Sue Walker

Loyce was born a twin on December 21st,1949, in Galveston, TX to Aney Mary and Michael Gossie, Sr. Loyce graduated from La Marque High School in 1969. She then went on to graduate from University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Education in August 1972. After graduating, Loyce worked for ExxonMobil for 37 years and excelled in the corporate world. In Jan 1973, Loyce married the love of her life, Gary Walker, and they were married for 52 years. They bought their first home in 1976 in Kingwood, TX and have lived there ever since. Their daughter, Audrey was born in May 1976. In 1978, Loyce and Gary joined Kingwood Country Club and enjoyed dinning, playing tennis and golf and met many lifelong friends. Loyce also enjoyed oil painting, attending University of Houston athletic events, watching all sports, and most of all, watching her daughter Audrey play competitive USTA Junior tennis. In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with her 2 granddaughters, watching the Hallmark Channel, and taking care of the neighborhood stray cats and their kittens. She was a loving caring wife and mother who was very successful and provided for her family.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Gary Walker, who took care of her for many years; daughter Audrey Fox and her husband Todd Fox; granddaughters, Kasey and Kenzie Fox; brother, Michael Gossie Jr.; twin sister, Joyce Martin; and a host of other family and friends. Loyce was a wonderful wife, mother and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, June 7th, 2025, in the chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas 77339. Followed by Celebration of Life Reception at the Kingwood Country Club Magnolia Room 1700 Lake Kingwood Trail Kingwood, TX 77339 where drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner will be served.
