Dr. Margaret Casey Reap died on January 18, 2018. She was born in Jersey City on January 14, 1927. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Edward J. Reap, parents, John and Mary Casey, and her sister Dorothy Gillen.
She graduated from St. Peters High School in New Jersey, was class valedictorian and captain of the debate team. She studied at Fordham University and was one of the first woman graduates from the College of Business. She continued her studies with a Master of Education from Montclair State College and a Ph.D of Education from the University of Houston.
She was an educator her entire career, retiring from Lone Star College after teaching accounting courses. After retiring, she served as a volunteer at Humble Area Assistance Ministries. She was active in Friends of the Library and served on the Homeowners Association of Pinehurst.
She leaves a large loving family. The family includes five children: Edward Reap and wife Dorothy; Deborah Reap DeWaal and Sally Hill; Dr. Mary Reap Harper and husband John; Lynn Reap McClure and husband Charles; and John Reap and wife Mary. She also leaves seven grandchildren: Katherine DeWaal Cheney, Matt DeWaal, Samuel Harper, Charles McClure, Edward McClure, Keegan Reap, Sarah Reap and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, January 24 at 3:00 PM at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Hwy 59 North, Kingwood, TX.
