After 90 years Rosemary Patricia (Pat) Dillon Keiser- Grandmother, Mother, wife, and friend- went to heaven on October 11, 2016. Pat was born in New Orleans August 29, 1926; she lived in Kingwood the last 40 years. She loved her family; her generous and loving spirit will be missed.
Pat graduated from Ursuline Academy and then Loyola College in May 1947. She was married to Richard M. Keiser in June 1947 and they shared 42 years before his passing. She was a member of St. Martha’s Catholic Church for over 30 years. She taught elementary school in south Texas in the 1950s. She loved all kinds of flowers and flowering shrubs; in her younger years she loved tending to her garden. She learned to paint and sculpt as an adult and she created many pieces of art. She was an avid Bridge player and golfer; Pat also loved to entertain before her health declined.
Pat loved to travel and explore new places; with her husband in the Navy JAG corps and then his subsequent career beyond the military she had many opportunities to experience new places. After leaving New Orleans as a young adult she lived in Austin and Harlingen. Then the family moved back to New Orleans before moving to Japan, Quantico, Guam, Charleston, Corpus Christi, San Diego, San Jose, and Iran then settling in Kingwood. In each new place she looked for its unique and interesting facets. Favorite memories Pat shared of her travels included the beautiful cherry blossoms and fall foliage in Virginia, wonderful flora in South Carolina, outings in Japan and boonie stomping in Guam. While in Iran she took skiing lessons for the first time. She also was able to share a number of pleasure cruises and trips with her husband going to the Far East as well as Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. On her 70th birthday Pat rode a jet ski for the first time which spoke to her sense of adventure.
Predeceased by her parents, James Matthew Dillon and Celeste Cummins Dillon, her brothers James Patrick Dillon and Thomas Kenneth Dillon, and her husband, Cmdr. Richard Marshall Keiser, Ret. as well as her nephew Curtis Dillon. Survived by her two children: Richard Carl (RC) Keiser and wife Deborah and James Marshall (Jim) Keiser and wife Vicki.
