Paul Roger Ostlund

Paul Roger Ostlund,48, left this world unexpectedly on July 29th. Paul was born at Powers Lake, North Dakota Feb. 16th 1964. Paul attended Taft High School in California, and graduated from Diamond High School in Anchorage, Alaska. Paul grew up in many different places, he lived in: Anchorage Alaska, Ventura and Taft California, Douala Cameroon- Africa, Grover Beach, Fullerton and Bakersfield California before relocating to Houston where he spent the last 18 years of his life. Paul graduated from California State University Bakersfield and was employed with Shell Oil in Houston Texas. Paul is survived by his wife Nicola, and his two sons James and Nicholas and his father Roger, brother Joel, and sister Dawnett, as well as several nephews and a niece. Paul enjoyed spending time with his teenage boys biking and canoing. He also liked competitive shooting, camping and off-roading. In his spare time he enjoyed his workshop and building furniture. Paul was always quick to volunteer and lend assistance where needed. Paul spent several years volunteering with Montgomery County Animal Shelter and with Lone Star Wild Life Rescue. Paul will be missed by his family and friends and those whose lives he touched with his generosity and willingness to help.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012, at Kingwood Funeral Home.
