Raymond Dale Weeks passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2024 in Kingwood, Texas following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Holtzclaw Weeks; daughters Cheryl Van Rysdam (Bill) and Amanda Cochran (Donald); granddaughters Caitlin Lee; Erin McCann (Max); Emma Cochran; Lindsey Cochran; and great-grandsons, Brooks and Brennan McCann. He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond H. Weeks and Selma Baker Weeks along with his two older brothers Donald Weeks and Douglas Weeks.
Dale was born in Plain Dealing, Louisiana and graduated from Plain Dealing High School. He went on to join and proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps. Upon release from the Marines, he met and married Linda and went on to a long career with Brown and Root, later Halliburton, that saw a variety of moves along the gulf coast, but primarily in New Orleans, Louisiana. Houston was the last move and where he happily retired.
A quiet man for the most part, Dale enjoyed all things NASCAR, cars and trucks and some deer hunting all while keeping up on all the latest in electronic equipment.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Sarah, Boyet and Lavorris for the care and support they provided.
The family will hold a graveside service on Friday, April 5th at the Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.
