To support his young family, he worked fulltime while attending night school at University of Houston and received a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
He had a long successful engineering career in the Oil and Gas industry (Venezuela, Mexico, England, Scotland, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Istanbul, Kazahkstan). In fact one of his favorite projects is listed in the 1976 Guinness Book of World Records as the “Largest Oil Platform” ever built. He proudly displayed a picture of that platform in his office. He had a deep love for The Great State of Texas, Texas history and of course, his red Ford Mustang he affectionately called ROC IT 2.
