

Reverend Norman Thomas McLaughlin, 63, born on October 22, 1946 in Detroit Michigan, went to be with his Lord on October 5, 2010. He is survived by his wife Brenda McLaughlin, his son Ryan McLaughlin, his step-son Gregory Dobbs, his step-daughter Rebecca Gutierrez and husband Gerald Gutierrez and his triplet grandchildren, Cristina, Maximus, and Leonidas Gutierrez.
Norman served his country in the United States Army from April 12, 1966 to April 11, 1969 with an honorable discharge at Fort Hood, Texas. He loved Texas so much that he adopted this state as his home. He always said he was born in southern Michigan which was really part of North Texas.
He loved his Lord and Savior and was ordained as a Baptist Minister on September 1, 1976 and served in the Baptist Gospel ministry for over 20 years, and also served for over 6 years with several Hospice organizations before he retired in 2006 due to his health.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339, on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Memorial Services on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Burial services will be at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 12:00 noon.
