My sympathies to the family. I remember many many years ago, I went to Lubbock to visit Nancy, Ron and family, traveling with Nancy's father Amos, my uncle. Ron was so very very kind, even took me to the air base for a personal tour, I remember it to this day and it was over 30 years ago. My thoughts are with you, May God Bless.

Ron was a special man who loved his family deeply and was a great friend to many. He always treated me well even though I was dating his daughter and I always looked up to him as a great example of how a man should be as father and a husband and a friend. He served his country faithfully and I know he will be missed by many. Heaven gained a good man!!!

Dad,
I have so many great memories of you.  Growing up as a child, you gave me a feeling of trust!  You were always there on the "sidelines" for everything that I loved.  I remember when you weren't in favor of your "little girl" taking karate classes as a child back at Reese Air Force Base, but you still somehow ended up supporting me because you "believed in me".  Because of that trust, I live my dream today as a martial artist 30 years later.  You never missed a game that I cheered at or a track meet.  You never missed watching me on the basketball or volleyball team.  How can I never forget my senior year in band at our final concert, when I finished playing a solo, there was only one person in the audience who stood up and gave me a standing ovation....that was my dad!  You were so proud of me, not because I didn't squeak on the clarinet or forget my notes..because I was your daughter.

As an adult, I modeled your stability.  You always worked hard for what you needed, not what you wanted.  You didn't have expensive cars or lifestyle...but we had something special that I always held on to in life;  the importance of FAMILY.  Thank you for passing on that "lesson of life" to me, Jeff and the boys.

Fathers and daughters never truly part.  I will NEVER stop remembering you in my prayers and heart.  I love you dad!

We were blessed in so many ways by this gentle giant of a man.  We were priviledged to have had him and Nancy in our home for a short period of time. He quickly captured a special spot in our heart.  He will be missed by so many.

Bonds that are created in 
childhood can be very strong and even though our lives took us in different directions, my memories and my affection for my boyhood friend and classmate has never diminished. If I had a time machine it would bring me no greater pleasure than to return to the Palatka of my youth to see Ronald and Donald walk the halls of Palatka High. To see Mrs. Hogeboom on our porch with my grandmother and to visit there with such outstanding young men and women. It can seem now like a story book filled with the most wonderful characters to be remembered through history as great as any in literature. 

My sincere condolences to Ronald's family on such a great loss.

We know such a loss cannot be measured, not even by our tears.  Gone too soon from our world but free of pain and strife in the next. The Lord has gained what we have lost.  May God Bless you and give you strength in your time of sorrow.

Thanks for the many great memories and all the good times. You are a great man with a great wife and family, who all loved you very much.  I never had the privilege of meeting your husband but because of my contact with you and Renee, know he must have been a wonderful person.  I pray that you and your family will experience peace in the days ahead knowing that  he is at ease in the arms of a loving father.

I did not personally know Ron very well, but in the near 20 years I have known his family, his presence was in everything surrounding the Biddle/Battenberg families.  Ron was always involved and active, but in public sometimes just out of the limelight.  A loving family does not happen by accident; one needs just to look back to see the influences of the parents that molded them. The love, kindness, and rich personal character of his children and their children are part of Ron's creation, and now his legacy.
One of my favorite images of Ron was watching him Jitterbug with Nancy at their Golden 50th Anniversary party...while he said little, his eyes absolutely sparkled with the love of his bride, and you could just feel his love for his family. 
To his family, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  May your sorrows be comforted by your many precious memories of your husband/father/grandfather, and may you simply close your eyes and feel his love shower down upon you as he stands strong and healthy again smiling at you from the side of Jesus.

I loved how you never missed a single softball game and how sometimes you where there before i was. Our prayers are with each of you for much love and strength during this time. We will miss Uncle Ron. My memories will keep him with me...memories of Jug Island, visits with us, and the visits at our Grandmom and Granddad Biddle's in East Palatka. His life touched so many people, family and friends...he was a blessing.

I loved Ronald very much and always looked to him as my “other half”.  As his identical twin brother there was a special bond that we reserved for each other.  Growing up we always had the problem of being asked, “Okay, which one are you”!  As kids, we enjoyed our adventures together, whether it was rafting down the St. John’s River pretending we were Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, riding our horse or dancing the jitterbug at parties and local school dances.  Having been separated for many years during our military careers, we somehow managed to always have the same positions and ranks during our time in the service.  Though twins, there was one area where we differed.  I cannot cut a straight line where Ron had wonderful woodworking skills.  He created beautiful masterpieces, including clocks, which he loved to give as gifts. I remember when Ron met Nancy at the skating rink at Travis AFB when we were both young Airmen.  They went on to enjoy a wonderful marriage of 52 years and did a wonderful job of raising a loving family.  In the end, his children and grandchildren did what came natural to them, they were there for him in his time of need.  I am so glad that I was able to spend some time with him and his family during his last days.  My parting words to him were “I am proud to be your twin brother.”  We will miss him.

I did not know Mr. Biddle personally as well as most of you. But I knew him because I knew Nancy and Renee. In Renee I learned  of Mr. Biddle's kindness and strenght of character.  In Nancy I learned  of Mr. Biddle's love of family and friendsand his commitment to his wife and his faith in God. I have learned that when we lose a dear one, we lose them physically but their memories live in us forever. I will always remember my few moments with Ron as they where happy  moments. I pray  to God for strengthfor Rene, Nancy and the rest  of the family. Especially for the grandchildren that Mr. Biddle so much loved. We the colon family  will be forever  grateful to Renee and Nancy for all the joy they brought to us and we will  be forever grateful to Ron for letting us share  them with us.  Rest in peace  Ron, you will always ber remembered.

Ron & his wife Nancy, are very special people in mine and my families lives.  Ron was a dear loving friend to my Uncle "Baby Drew" for many, many years in Dayton, Tx.  There is nothing Ron or Drew would not have done for one another.  They are together again with Jesus today, what a glorious day for them.
