Ross was born and raised in Florissant, Colorado in 1955. He joined The Marine Corps and served faithfully, making the rank of Lance Corporal, from 1973-1976. During his service to our country he answered the call of duty to serve in Vietnam. After his time in the Marine Corps, Ross worked faithfully with Enterprise for the past 25 years, as a commercial truck driver.
He was very passionate about hunting, shooting his many guns, playing music on the guitar and drums and being an advocate for his country. Along with that went his love for his family, animals and motorcycles.
Ross Smith was preceded in death by his Sister Shirley Holder and Brother Lloyd Babcock. He is survived by siblings Robert Smith, and Rozella Wiley; daughter and son-in law Sarah and Joseph Metts; one granddaughter Peyton Davis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ross’ family would like to thank Kelly and Patrick from Heart to Heart hospice care for the love and care given to him in his time of need. They would also like to thank the entire Metts Family for their love and support when he needed them the most.
