Scott Albert Leake was the First Born child to Dawn and Al Leake in Miami, Florida on June 18, 1961. Despite getting Diabetes at age six, he had a wonderful childhood with his brothers and parents. They all enjoyed camping trips and mobile home trips to all 50 states when they hiked, played cards and games; as well as attending Diabetes Camp to learn about the disease and become independent. The family moved to Kingwood when Scott was 16 years old and he attended Humble High School and then Sam Houston State College in Huntsville. Scott worked for Randalls for many years and loved his job. Scott was married in May, 1984 and had two boys whom he loved very much: Sam has plans to go to Medical School, and Eric who is a Senior at Kingwood High School. Scott’s passion was his mission trips to Peru with First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood. He made two trips there, sponsoring a little girl to whom he gave a cross for her First Communion, but was not able to make this trip last July. He had other hobbies, including saving coins, car magazines, and all Miami Dolphin football team memorabilia. His brothers were devoted to him especially by helping him through the tough days with endless doctor’s appointments and weekly dialysis sessions.
Scott is survived by his parents, Dawn and Al Leake; sons, Sam and Eric Leake; brothers, Todd Leake, Chris Leake and his wife, Melissa, Tim Leake and his wife, Kelli; nephew, Brandon Leake; niece, Mary Therese Leake; uncles, Larry and Bill Leake; aunts, Madelyn, Sandy Leake and Dorothy Jackson; and numerous cousins, friends, and the children in Peru.
