With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tony Dewayne Green, age 38, who left us far too soon on September 20, 2024. Born on February 27, 1986, in Anniston, Alabama, Tony was a vibrant soul who lived life with passion and purpose.
Tony was not only a dedicated truck driver but also an adventurous spirit who thrived on the open road and the great outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping, and loved nothing more than riding his motorcycle in which he felt most free. His hands were always busy, whether he was working on cars and trucks or lending a helping hand to those in need. A true friend to many, Tony’s selflessness shone brightly; he was always ready to offer support and encouragement to anyone who required it.
He leaves behind his loving spouse, Shea Green, who was his ride or die, rock and confidante. Tony is survived by his cherished children: Madison (Hunter), Taylor, Tyler, Laela, and Makaela. He was a devoted grandson to Lucille Hughes, faithful son to Terri Green Hodge (Ed) and Wayne Waites (Serena), and a caring brother to Ashlee Jordan and Kaci Waites. His family, both immediate and extended, was his pride and joy, and he created countless memories that will be treasured forever.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Steve Rockhart, and his beloved Uncle Rodney Fleming. Their memories will forever remain a source of comfort to those who loved him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the HCA Houston Northwest SICU Team for their impeccable care and compassion during Tony’s tragic accident. Their dedication and kindness made an unbearable situation more bearable. Special thanks also go to Life Gift for their remarkable support during the organ donation process, allowing Tony’s beautiful heart and one kidney to continue to give life to others.
Tony’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he shared. In honor of his spirit, we invite those who wish to contribute to his memorial and support his family to visit: GoFundMe Link.
A celebration of Tony’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Weaver, Alabama, where we will gather to share stories, laughter, and tears as we remember the extraordinary man Tony was.
Rest in peace, Tony. Your spirit will forever ride with us. Until we meet again, watch over us all!
