Winston was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on January 2nd, 1949. Winston graduated from Bradley County High School, served in the United States Navy, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Franklin University, Master’s Degree from Southwest Bible College and Seminary, and a Doctorate from Southwest Seminary.
Winston served the Lord as a Senior Minster for Northpark Christian Church and a Chaplin for the Greater Houston Area, leaving a lasting impact on the congregations and many families, fulfilling his passion for serving people and Christ for over 20 years.
Winston was a wonderful friend, colleague, father, son, brother, and uncle, however his greatest role, the one which he was most proud of, was PaPaw to his four grandchildren.
Winston is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vicki Raye Cree Hancock, sister Helen Riden, daughter Angi Lewis, son Ryan Hancock, son in law Dene Lewis, daughter in law Tara Hancock, his grandchildren, Tristan, Gavin, Madison and Emma, nieces Cyndi and Kimberly, nephews Mark, Christopher, Matthew, Jonathan, and Stephen.
Winston is preceded in death by his father and mother, Homer Hancock and Fern Burke Hancock.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Northpark Christian Church, 1599 Northpark Drive, Kingwood, Texas 77339, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Winston’s honor to Heaven’s Army (https://www.givelify.com/givenow/1.0/MjEzNDU=/payment) or Northpark Christian Church.
