Unexpectedly at her home in Elmira, Alva passed away on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Reid, her sons Allen and Brian, and grandson Bradley, Alva leaves precious memories with her children Anita (Mike) Simon, Cindy (Frank) Ill, Cheryl (John) Hodge and daughters in law Beverley and Laura, as well as with her 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Family and friends are welcomed at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. (at Westmount Rd. 519-743-8900) on Monday from 10:30 a.m. A Celebration of Alva’s Life will be in the Westmount Chapel at 11:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Diabetes Association or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
