Beloved wife of the late Djuro "George" Krajnovic (1985). Dear mother of Nives "Nancy" Krajnovic and Sonja " Sandy" Giardullo. Loved grandmother of Michael (Victoria) and Melissa, and great grandmother of Aurelia, Jakey, Nicholas, and Luca. Dear sister of Ada Kozlevac. Predeceased by her brothers Elio, Silvano, and Mario Rovina.
Born in Piran, Slovenija, former Yugoslavia, Anita’s life journey took her across Europe before she eventually made her home in Kitchener, Ontario. She lived in Italy and France along the way, embracing each culture and experience. Through the years, she developed a remarkable ability for languages, speaking Italian, Croatian, Slovenian, French, and English.
Anita's favourite pastime was spending time in her garden tending to flowers and growing vegetables. In her youth, she enjoyed singing in the choir at church. She also worked as a cook at an institute for the deaf. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Anita's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., with Prayers at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral will be held in the chapel at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., with Father Toby Collins, C.R., officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington, 116 - 82 Wilson Ave., Kitchener, ON N2C 0E4.
