Anna had an adventurous and full life. Getting married in 1942 and immediately heading west to accompany Harold to the Yukon, Queen Charlotte Island and Prince Rupert as he helped build airstrips and radar installations for the RCAF during WWII. After that she headed back home to KW to help build a successful business, Stecho Electric, and raise three children. She enjoyed excellent healthy until the very end of her life and at 104 years old she had plenty of time to enjoy her retirement.
A special thank you to the nursing and medical staff at Markdale Hospital for their loving care and concern but especially to moms nurse Kendra who was with us at the end. Her compassion and professionalism did not go unnoticed and it will always be remembered.
To honour Anna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
