Dear wife to Alvin Lantz for 50 years. Mother to Carrie-Anne McGinty (James) of Beeton, Lisa Bretz (Jeremy) of Plattsville and Eric Lantz (Katherine) of Kitchener. Dearest grandma to Madison, Connor, Jaden, Ryken, Cassidy, Blair, Oscar Jr. and Samuel. Sister to Ron (Anne) of Waterloo, Richard (Betty) of Heidelberg, Kim (Dave) of Cambridge, and Gary (Fran) of Waterloo. Sister-in-law to Maureen (Bruce) of Hamilton. Cheryle is predeceased by her parents Oscar (1987) and Catherine Miller (2007).
Cheryle and Alvin resided happily in Plattsville for the last 30 plus years. She was affectionately known by many nicknames—Fluffy, Glitzy, Puff, and Gumma, just to name a few. She had a deep love for gardening, cooking, and arts and crafts, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren. Much of her free time was devoted to decorating (and redecorating), often accompanied by a long list of “honey-do” tasks for Alvin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 4 - 7 p.m.
