Daphne Jean was born in Georgetown, Guyana before immigrating to Canada where she resided for 22 years. She successfully completed a course in health care and worked there for over 5 years, there after went on to work at Ultra Manufacturing where she worked until falling in 2022. Daphne Jean Ann was a dedicated worker, who led by example. There was never a job too large or small that she would not tackle.
Daphne Jean Ann is survived by her son Orandy, her daughter-in-law Velvet, 2 grandsons Ariston and Amari, her siblings Desiree Durant, Andrew Gibson, Simone Gibson, Coleen Gibson and Yonette Gibson, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Daphne's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd., Kitchener.
A Memorial Service for Daphne will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 355 Gage Ave., Kitchener, on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
