My deepest condolences to the family. Dave was one of the first people to make me feel welcome when moving to Kitchener, and was a loyal friend for years after. He always greeted me with a smile a firm handshake. I often would share challenges experienced in my own life with him, especially around becoming a father, and he had a unique way of  providing a stoic guidance without needing to say too much. We would laugh, share stories and balance holding each other accountable while not taking things too seriously. I appreciated every minute that I got to spend working with Dave, and will miss him dearly.

I’ve just found this photo!   Over the past few days I’ve been doing some tidying.  This photo jumped into my hands 2 or 3 days ago! 
When I started in K&B ( way back when ).  I met Dave.  My reality was that he had so much info that  I wanted.   I just wasn’t able to extract it from him! He knew that and gave me a run for my money.  He enjoyed every moment.  The day he passed my chair and gave it a wicked thump in the back was the moment I knew I had been accepted! 
I was very fond of Dave.  So much fun to work with.   I looked forward to working the evenings when we got scheduled together. 
He loved his family so much.  His pain, not so much.  
Dave I know you’ll be back.   Sometime , Somewhere. Somehow!

Dave and I started at Home Depot , Kitchener West , when it first opened 21 years ago. Dave came in with a load of appliance knowledge, a sense of humour, enthusiasm and a good heart.
I enjoyed every minute working with Dave, who brought so much to the job. 
A great family man, a sales professional, and a truly good human being.

The ship that kept you busy for these final weeks.  Sail away David to a better place free from pain.  Until we meet again ❤️

This Christmas was definitely one of the most special we have had as a family all because you were there Uncle David.  It won’t be the same without you.

It won’t be the same without you David. The trio has been broken, and Janice and Paul will miss their baby brother

We were so fortunate to celebrate your birthday with you days before your passing. We love you and will miss you. You fought so hard until the very end and always still wanted just one more game of Five Crowns

You will be missed very much. I miss hearing you say to me “Here comes trouble!”  It would always make me smile.  And planning your next tattoo was always fun.  You won’t be forgotten.

Rest in Peace Dave. You been a kind soul, a wonderful coworker at The Home Depot. Thank you for all the memories, laughter, and great times we shared. Your true dedication to the Appliance Department, warmth, and willingness to help others will never be forgotten. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Gone, but , never forgotten.
